As the Portfolio Manager for our High Impact Fund I, Monica is focused on both private debt and equity strategies. She is responsible for identifying new investment opportunities, managing the due diligence process, and leading the fund investment committee to tactfully place capital into pure play social and environmental enterprises.

Monica holds the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst® designation and has more than 20 years of for-profit banking and investment management experience. At the forefront of research on the intersection and compatibility of philanthropic and for-profit funding, Monica has been heavily involved in programs and studies related to sustainable agriculture, renewable energy, education, environmental conservation, and safe-water access.


Previously, Monica served as Director of Research with Ambata Capital Partners and Hedge Fund Director at Golden Gate Financial Group and was an industry consultant for niche alternative assets and impact investing projects.

As a finance major, Monica earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree cum laude from the University of Tennessee. She co-founded and was an executive with the San Francisco Chapter of CAIA® from 2007-2019.  Monica served on the CAIA Gender Equity Committee from 2017-2019 creating guidelines to pave the way for more women in finance.


In her free time Monica keeps busy as a PTA Board member for the first Spanish dual immersion elementary school in Marin County and enjoys coaching youth soccer.
