Brad Gilbert
Senior Portfolio Manager
Professional Focus & Services
As the Senior Portfolio Manager, Brad heads our decision-making process to implement a sophisticated and strategically tactical approach with our model portfolios, in a way that reflects our client's social and environmental impact objectives. Brad is responsible for providing the investment committee with regular market, financial, and economic figures in order to make timely, concise, data-driven decisions. Additionally, Brad is responsible for placing trades and drives the development of investment processes as the firm's capacity grows.
Brad has spent over twenty years endeavoring to master the markets as both a profession and his passion. From his first job at Ernst & Young to his current role with Impact Investors, Brad has always remained steadfast to honing his natural talents in statistical analysis by applying them to portfolio management with a focus on quantitative finance.
Prior to studying at Colorado State University, Brad already knew that trading markets was his path. He began a classical approach to asset valuation and portfolio management in 1999, and in 2013 he started using derivatives as a tool to not only gauge market volatility, but also to hedge downside risk and multiply upside potential. During this lifelong pursuit, Brad has developed an understanding of global markets and an analytical skill set that add tremendous value to the Impact Investors team and our clients.
Brad enjoys surfing in San Diego as much as he does the plunge into deep statistical analysis. Whether it's leading our investment committee or analyzing the carbon off-sets of a client’s portfolio, Brad gets both feet wet, duck diving the ever-present headwinds of the market in order to reach new heights. Brad's personal mission is to support a clean ocean and equality for all walks of life.
